Each family is required to work a minimum of 2 hours (per season) to help run our volunteer organization. The volunteer fee will be $60 per family. It is the volunteer’s responsibility to properly register and complete the volunteer hours. If you fail to complete your volunteer hours, you will forfeit your volunteer fee to East Penn Soccer Club. No exceptions will be made. Reimbursement will be provided once the work has been completed. The purpose of the volunteer fee is not to make money, but to encourage our membership to become actively involved in making our club the best it can be for our children. The volunteer fee helps the club in keeping our fees low as well as offer more for your money.
There are many ways in which parents can volunteer their time to recuperate their volunteer fee. Those include assisting with general club operations or participating in ongoing club initiatives (head coaches, assistant coaches, preseason field preparation, concession stands, and field maintenance, etc.) throughout the year. We are hoping that everyone will assist the club with their time and few will forfeit their volunteer fee. We will be utilizing “Sign Up Genius” as a tool for you to be able to sign up for the required duties. Shifts/Duties will be on a first come/first serve basis, however there will be plenty of shifts to sign up for each activity. If your assigned duty is canceled due to weather, etc, you will be required to sign up for another shift to make your complete hours. If you commit to a shift/duty and do not show up (no call) or drop out, you will automatically forfeit your volunteer fee.
