Tryouts are held once a year in the spring and consist of two sessions. The results of these tryouts determine the teams for the following consecutive fall, winter, and spring seasons. Players must attend at least one session for evaluation and are strongly encouraged to attend both. If you have any questions you can contact us at email@example.com.
Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to start time. Parents/guardians must register the player prior to the first tryout session. Players will be issued a tryout pinnie with a unique number.
All players are required to wear proper clothing and shinguards, as well as cleats. Players are also expected to bring sufficient water and the appropriate size ball to tryouts. Any player who is not properly equipped will not be allowed to participate.
East Penn Soccer Club only forms a select number of teams in order to provide players and families with the best experience possible. We believe in quality and not quantity. Travel, Elite, and Premier teams will be formed for each age group, but we will only select certain players and families that meet the criteria. Players will be chosen based on skill level, fitness, and intangibles like effort and positive attitude. There is no guarantee that a second or third team will be formed. If multiple teams are formed for an age category, the travel selection committee will determine the best team format (equal strength v. graded teams).
Player selection will be determined through a combination of tryout results and coach recommendations. The East Penn Soccer Club selection committee will work with coaches to determine the roster for the upcoming seasons. Accepted players will be notified as soon as possible after the end of tryouts. Please remember that having previously played for a team does not guarantee a spot on a team for the next season.
East Penn Travel Program:
The East Penn Travel program was created to provide structured training sessions to encourage Imagination and Competition - we ensure the young athletes acquire and apply soccer skills in a fun environment and competitive small-sided games. This program is designed to provide a platform to develop technically superior and tactically astute soccer players in a progressive and dynamic training environment - dedicated towards individual player development and team play. The members of these teams will participate in league play and tournaments throughout the year.
